2021 London Marathon for Born Free

I’ve never felt anything quite like it the feeling of it all is a sensation that will stay with me forever, running towards the finish line i was feeling so overwhelmed with so many different emotions the atmosphere was just so positively out of this world. No animosity just everyone coming together and thank you to all those who shouted and roared for Born Free when i passed by… and to those two gentlemen behind me who started singing Born Free haha. Cramp got me around 18 miles(thank you so much to the paramedics for the quick leg massages) but i pushed on now my second marathon for Born Free and the animals is in the bag.

I want to say the biggest heart felt thank you to all of you who have sponsored me, to all of you who have shared my posts, to all of you who have shown all round support, to my Born Free family for the support and a special thank you to Joanne and Born Free who have been amazing!.. thank you so much for the 3 Golden Bond Grandstand passes so that some of my family could watch from near the finish line. Last year i became an official voice & advocate for Born Free who have been an extremely important part of mine and my families lives since the very beginning with what they do and what they stand for and I’m incredibly honoured to be a part of the Born Free family… a family you’re all a massive part of too for supporting me and being a voice for those beautiful wild animals around the world that need it!. The very early mornings getting up at 3-4am, aches, blisters, pains, and nearly being in tears at certain points were all worth it in every aspect!. I shall be running my third marathon for Born Free and the animals next year. 

I want to end this with a BIG special thank you to two of my biggest inspirations.. Will Travers and Virginia McKenna, thank you for all that you have done for animals worldwide for over 30 years since before i was born and still stand so passionately strong now, to me you have set an inspirational bar in the world of animal welfare. I’m honoured to represent our Born Free Family and the animals.
