Born Free Beyond Zoos Event

So on the 30th November this happened at the Beyond Zoos Born Free Event and i met one of my heroes!. We have spoken online but it’s the first time we have met in person - one of my biggest inspirations Born Free president & Co-founder Will Travers, this is only the second time that i have been in awe of meeting someone!. High-fiving with one of my heroes can now be ticked off the list haha. It was great to also meet my friend who i feel like i’ve known for many years through our many emails sent backwards and forwards, Born Free Events and Philanthropy Manager Joanne!. In 2020 i became an official voice & advocate for Born Free who have held a special place within my families hearts especially my mothers ever since their beginning as Zoo Check, i’ve now run 3 marathons for us and soon to be 4th and 1st ultramarathon, ultra training has now started!. This event was truly important and how we must move away from Zoos, one comment in particular stuck with me in how Zoo car parks are bigger than the animals actual enclosures.. think about it.
